Redhill, Surrey

This 1.6 hectare(4 acre) site is located to the east of Redhill in the Green Belt. Approximately half the site area is occupied by an 1940s office block and warehouse with associated parking and outbuildings.

Having initially used the new permitted development policies to gain residential use for the existing offices on the site, we subsequently obtained planning consent to demolish all existing buildings and to replace them with 20 detached and semi detached houses totalling 2,243 sqm in area .

The fact that the property is in the Green Belt presented significant planning challenges. The successful outcome was achieved by working with a strong team of consultants and also working hand in hand with local planners, residents and Council members.
