This former office building is located just off Charlotte Street in central London.
Satellite Architects took our interest in off site building techniques and came up with a truly unique proposal for extending the property to the rear. This comprised a three storey prefabricated timber frame structure which was built off site, craned over the existing terrace and erected in 7 hours.
This original approach to a sensitive site in a Conservation Area allowed us to create 6 new flats whilst retaining the ground and basement as self contained office space. The occupier has subsequently turned the basement into a high spec recording studio.
Overall we increased the floor space by over 25%.
