Church Entry, London EC4

Formerly a 7,000 sq ft period office building located in a Conservation Area just off Carter Lane near St Paul's Cathedral, this building had been neglected for many years. This presented a great opportunity to reinvent the property as a contemporary apartment building in the heart of the City.

Working with two groups of architects, M2R and Form Architecture, we were able to demonstrate to the planners that the addition of a very contemporary, 2 storey penthouse on top of the existing building would not only dramatically improve the building, but also make a positive contribution to the Conservation Area. To achieve this we had to demonstrate the highest design standards and create something which although very modern, also worked in harmony with the existing building.

We gained planning consent to convert the rest of the building into 12 one bed flats, increasing the overall floor area by almost 25%.

The penthouse was sold off plan for City record price.
